Jessica Paige is an award-winning Melbourne singer/songwriter known for her emotive songwriting, rich musicality, and deep commitment to inclusive creative practice. With a career spanning two decades, Jessica has written music for film, television, and advertising, and toured extensively across Australia.
Her debut single Under My Skin earned her an APRA Award in 2004, and her songwriting was further recognised with the JB Seed Grant in 2007. Since then, she has collected over 30 national and international songwriting accolades, including the United Nations and Fender Music Foundation’s selection of her song Sleepy Head for the Band Together compilation. She has also won the Pop and Open category of the Australian Songwriting Association competition and was a multiple-time finalist.
Jessica’s music for screen includes a nomination for Best Song Composed for the Screen at both the APRA Awards for the Grammy nominated Call Me Crazy, a Five Star Films production directed by Jennifer Aniston. She has collaborated with industry greats including Van Dyke Parks, Alex Wurman(USA), Charles Fisher (Savage Garden), and Doug Brady (John Farnham).
Living with ADHD and dyslexia, Jessica brings personal experience to her work in access and inclusion. She is the driving force behind a range of innovative music and writing development projects for artists of all abilities.
Jessica also leads the musical collective for Well Oiled Machine, an inclusive music initiative including Jake Mason (who has over a billion streams) and Eric McCusker (notable iconic songwriter of many hits) as well as the totally wonderful and inspiring Gerry Smith who, despite his disabilities, manages to be the life of the party.
Described by drumming icon David Jones as a “visionary,” Jessica is helping to break barriers and build creative communities through music and storytelling.
Coming up, Jessica is working on release plans for her new album titled “Nothing Beautiful is Wasted”.
